IL MIO World described a blockchain-linked ownership entry for physical goods. The design challenge is to make that connection understandable without overstating what a record proves.

Trust has boundaries

  • An NFC tag can point to a record; the tag alone is not proof that an item is authentic.
  • A blockchain entry can make a record traceable; it does not independently establish legal ownership.
  • Product identity, tag security, record governance and transfer rules all affect the reliability of the experience.
